Terms of Service

The game
MapGuesser is a free daily city-guessing game. Each day you get a set of rounds on a satellite globe: we name a city, you place a pin where you think it is, and you score points based on how close your guess lands. Practice mode and party mode are also free.
Accounts
You can play anonymously, or create an account with Google or an email and password. An account keeps your scores, streaks, and leaderboard name in sync across devices. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials private.
Acceptable use
MapGuesser is a knowledge-based game: your score should reflect what you know, not what you can look up. When you play, you agree not to:
- Use external resources to place guesses during a game, including search engines, maps, AI assistants, or asking another person. Looking things up mid-game is cheating.
- Cheat or exploit the game in any other way, including manipulating scores, streaks, or leaderboards.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play or submit scores.
- Impersonate other players or use offensive display names.
- Attempt to disrupt the service or access other players' data.
We may remove scores, reset streaks, or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion.
Scores and leaderboards
Scores, streaks, and leaderboard placements are for fun only. They carry no monetary value and we make no guarantee that historical scores will be preserved forever.
Availability and changes
MapGuesser is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the game at any time. We may update these terms; continued use of the game after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MapGuesser.
