MapGuesser is a free daily geography game for map lovers, trivia fans, and anyone who enjoys a quick daily duel. Every day at midnight Pacific, five cities appear on a spinnable satellite globe. Drop your pin as close as you can, lock your guess, and score up to 100 points per round.
Play today's gameA geo game you can finish in five minutes
Love geo games but short on time? A full MapGuesser day takes about five minutes: five rounds, five cities, one shared puzzle that everyone plays at the same time. No downloads, no account needed, no waiting for opponents. Just you against the map.
How to play
- Read the clue: each round names a city. Spin the satellite globe, use coastlines, rivers, and city shapes to zero in, then drop your pin.
- Tap the map to drop your pin. Drag to fine tune it, pinch or use + and - to zoom.
- Hit Guess to lock it in. Each round scores 0 to 100 based on how close your pin lands.
- Play all five rounds. Multipliers grow through the game (1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, 3x), so a perfect day is worth 1000 points.
- Share your score, then come back tomorrow to keep your streak alive.
One daily game, everyone plays together
Like the best daily games, MapGuesser gives the whole world the same five cities each day. Compare scores with friends, climb the daily leaderboard, and build a streak by playing day after day. Sign in to keep your streak and stats synced across devices.
Play with friends in party mode
Want a multiplayer geo game night? Party mode turns MapGuesser into a live group game. The host creates a room and shares a code, everyone joins from their phone, and all players guess the same cities at the same time. Fast, close guesses earn the most points.
Duel a friend one on one
Prefer a head to head geography duel? Duels let you challenge one friend directly. Pick your mode, both of you play the same five cities, and the higher total score wins. It is the fastest way to settle who knows the map better.
How scoring works
Each round scores 0 to 100 points based on distance. The closer your pin lands, the more you earn. Round multipliers grow as the game goes on: 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x, then 3x on the final round. A perfect day is worth 1000 points. Speed matters in party mode, where fast guesses earn bonus points.
Build your own geography quizzes
Passport members can build custom sets from any locations they choose. Name your own pins, play the set solo, duel a friend on it, or run it as a party game. It is a great way to make a quiz about places you know: your hometown, your travels, or your friends.
Practice any time
Finished the daily game and want more? Practice mode deals a fresh random set of five cities whenever you like. Practice scores don't affect your streak or the leaderboards. It's just for fun and sharpening your eye.
